Free-hanging units can be used to advantage in shopping centres, restaurants, reception areas, counters, and spaces where the construction does not include a suspended absorbent ceiling, such as rooms with large glass facades and glass ceilings.

The free-hanging unit can be used in several ways. If a wall-to-wall ceiling is not feasible, an installation with an equivalent amount of free-hanging unit can provide the same noise reduction. Free-hanging units can also be used as isolated islands in order to create acoustical comfort locally in large, reverberant areas.
